The actress Zoe Kravitz is not only the daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet – She is also the frontwoman of LOLAWOLF, the electropop-R&B trio. What we do know is that there is more to it than what this Divergent star would seem. So here’s a few things that you probably didn’t know about Zoe Kravitz.
- Matching tattoos
How do we know that the Rockstar and his daughter are close? Because they got matching tattoos! Both father and daughter have matching tattoos “Free at last” in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. The tattoo artists says that this was something very personal for Lenny while for Zoe it was just about getting matching tattoos with her father.
- A “piercing” party
When a 11 year old Zoe claimed that she wanted a piercing, her actor mom decided to throw her a “piercing” party while dad Lenny called in his regular piercer Angel especially for the event. But unfortunately, Zoe got intimidated during the party and backed out of it. She ultimately ended up getting the piercings at a local Claire’s.
- Kutcher in her kitchen
It was quite the surprise for a 15 year old Zoe when along with a friend who was visiting she went down one morning to find Ashton Kutcher cooking an omelet in her kitchen. She goes downstairs in only a tshirt and with pimple cream on her face true teenager style only to have Kutcher in her kitchen saying ‘Morning! Do you want an omelet?’ And she wasn’t even sure whether Kutcher was breaking and entering.
- A hungover audition
Not taking her audition as mutant stripper Angel Salvadore in “X-Men: First Class” seriously, Zoe turned up at the audition wearing a hat and a tshirt, completely hungover. She had not thought that she would be a good match for the role. She further goes to say that when you don’t think you have a chance, you end up not being pressured and doing a good job of it instead of getting nervous.
- Her signature hairdo wasn’t so serious either
Zoe admits that the bust-length braids that turned out to be her signature hairdo was done in jest as an ode to the 90’s. she takes great pride in her hair and believes that her natural hair is what makes her unique.
- Eating disorders
It’s a little known fact that Zoe suffered from a eating disorder at the time she was around 17 years old. She says that it was the pressure around her in the world that caused this and her role as an anorexia affected woman in the 2014 dramedy “The Road Within” worsened the situation. Zoe reportedly dropped 90 pounds during the film’s production after which she fell severely ill.
Zoe Kravitz has a great relationship with her step family and her band’s name LOLAWOLF is a good example of this. LOLAWOLF is an amalgamation of the names of her step siblings Lola Iolani and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, her mother Lisa Bonet’s children with Game of Thrones alumni Jason Momoa.
