Since the late 80’s, the charismatic Will Smith has become a household name in the movie and music industry. His outgoing personality laced with humor and a laidback attitude has earned him many fans and followers over the years. Taking over the music industry with four Grammy Awards and becoming one of the most successful actors in hollywod with five Golden Globe Awards and two Oscar nominations and a trail of box office hits, we would say he has it all. With the spotlight on the actor and his family, especially his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, you’d think that you know all there is to know about them. But do you really?

  1. A math whizz

Will Smith is actually a nerd. If Will did not become an actor, he’d have become a computer engineer admits the star. When in school, Smith absolutely love maths and he was great at it too. Although Will Smith had high SAT scores, he did not go to post-secondary school and had he gone, he claims that he would have made his way to RMIT. However, by the time he had graduated he had already released his first record. There was no looking back however from that point onwards.

  1. Master of the Rubik’s Cube

We have Live television proof that Will Smith can solve the Rubik’s Cube puzzle under 55 seconds. Not only that he proved this on Live Television, he also has the Rubik’s Cube involved in two of his most prominent roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Pursuit of Happiness.

  1. How he and Jada met

Little known is the fact that Will and Jada met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when Jada auditioned for the role of his love interest in the film. She however did not get the part but ironically, managed to bag the role of his real life love interest! The couple now has 2 children – Jaden and Willow.

  1. His disbelief in traditional education

Now here’s a couple who don’t believe in sending their kids to school. It isn’t unusual for celebrities to choose not to send their children to a school system where they might be treated differently than everybody else because of who their parents are. However, Will and Jada’s reasons are not quite that. They believe that children should learn what they want to learn and they believe that the most important things in life are not learnt in school. As a result, Willow and Jaden are homeschooled.

  1. Executive producers

Will and Jada don’t just stop at being marriage partners. Together they are business partners of Overbrook Entertainment which produced some of Will’s films such as The Pursuit of Happyness, I, Robot, Seven Pounds and The Karate Kid as well as Queen Latifah’s talk show in 2013.

  1. Open relationship

Since of late the tabloids have been going to town with the topic of Will and Jada’s marriage and their comments about these rumours seem to only add fuel to the fire. Talk of infidelity, extramarital affairs and even of divorce have been circulating and the couple has never come forward to verify or thwart them, thus giving wing to all speculations.
