American singer, actress, dancer, and producer Jennifer Lynn Lopez popularly known as J-Lo released her debut album in 1999 which sold more than 20 million records. Her album J.Lo honored as platinum album in 2001. Her top famous songs are "Waiting for Tonight," "If You Had My Love," "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Jenny from the Block." Her first notable movie was Gregory Nava's "My Family” in 1995. She rose to fame with Selena (1997) where she played slain Tejana singer Selena Quintanilla Perez.

Jennifer Lynn Lopez is daughter of Puerto Rican parents Guadalupe Rodríguez (schoolteacher) and David Lopez (computer specialist). She was born and brought up in the Castle Hill, South Bronx, New York City. Her older sister Leslie Lopez is a homemaker and her younger sister Lynda Lopez is a DJ and journalist. She studied in the Holy Family Catholic Church and Grammar School in Castle Hill, Bronx. She graduated from Preston High School in Throgs Neck, Bronx, New York City in 1987.
Jennifer started learning singing and dancing when she was five years old. She was a wonderful athlete and took part in sports at school. Jennifer left her parent's house when she was eighteen and worked at a law office. She did dancing jobs at night. She got big break in Fox's hit comedy named In Living Color in 1990 as a fly girl. Lopez began her dancing career for singer and actress Janet Jackson.
